DIY: Fleece Tie Blanket

Materials: (for adult size tie blanket)

1) Two different fleece colors or patterns from your local fabric store. For adult: 2 yd. I recommend finding one pattern and one solid color that complement each other using the solid color as the underside of your blanket
STEP 2
2) Rotary cutter
3) Scissors
4) Straight edge
5) Fabric cutting mat

Step 1: Trim any uneven edges on fabric and until both pieces of fleece are the same in size using a rotary cutter and a straight edge on the fabric mat

STEP 3
Step 2: Cut a 4x4 in square into the corners of the blanket. If you prefer longer fringe I recommend 5 or 6 in . DO NOT THROW OUT SQUARE SCRAPS

Step 3: Decide how wide you want your fringe ties to be (I measured mine at 1 1/2 in wide) and cut strip out of square. This will be your template to follow when cutting your strips on the sides of your blanket

STEP 4
Step 4: Using your scissors, begin to cut your strips using your template as your guide so your strips are even in width.

Step 5: Once all your strips are cut along the edges of the blanket, begin tying your knots.  I did this by crossing the two layers like beginning to tie a shoe, then repeating.

Step 6: Once you have tied every side together, you're finished!
