This is a list of my personal favorite nail polish brands and which seem to work best for me, and I'll explain why.
1. OPI Although OPI is a little on the pricey side compared to cheaper drugstore alternatives I think its definitely worth the splurge. OPI usually runs $7-$8 a bottle depending on where you shop. I love OPI because I think they have the best coverage by far. I rarely have to paint two coats and I find that the polish is less likely to chip. OPI is the BEST if your looking for glitter polishes because they don't get scratchy or uneven and stay shiny, plus sealing it with a good top coat doesn't hurt! :) They also have tons of colors with cute and clever names. I also love that along with releasing new colors into their line frequently, they have limited edition collections often themed with upcoming movies and music which I LOVE. The only downside is that if you find a color you adore you most likely won't find it again.
2.Orly Orly polishes can be found at most sally's beauty supply stores and are comparable in price and quality to OPI. Orly tends to be a little more thin than OPI polishes which can be used to your advantage. They are nice for layering and other effects. I am also a fan of Orly's base coat. It not only provides a smooth surface for your color to adhere to, but also keeps your nails from being stained by the color. Orly, also like OPI releases limited edition collections which are always fun and have cute names as well.
3.China Glaze China Glaze is a little cheaper than OPI and Orly but is still a quality polish. They generally run from $5-$6. I find that China Glaze tends to be a bit stickier than my top 2, however the colors are unique, trendy, and worth it. China Glaze isn't as creative with naming their polishes as they are creating quality colors that are sure to keep your nails gorgeous!
